What is G3 Scratch Remover?
G3 Scratch Remover is manufactured by Farécla, to remove scratches from automotive bodywork. It is available in two forms; a paste and a liquid, allowing you to choose a type to suit you.
What are the Different Types?
Both products aim to remove/reduce the appearance of scratches, using their Engineered Abrasive Technology particles.
G3 Pro Scratch Remover Liquid – Due to the consistency of this, it is easier to spread and so more suitable over larger areas of damage.
G3 Pro Scratch Remover Paste – The thick texture of the paste offers more control. So, it is more suitable for smaller scratches, requiring more precision.
How Does it Work?
For the best results, apply the product with a G3 Pro White Applicator Waffle Pad. Follow the below method, for both forms:
- Use warm soapy water and a clean sponge to prep the surface. Ensure you thoroughly clean the area and rinse off with fresh water.
- Dampen the G3 Pro waffle pad, be careful not to soak the pad and ring out any excess water.
- Apply a small amount of the product to the pad.
- Apply the remover in an up and down, left to right movement. Ensure the product is completely rubbed in.
- You can now use a clean and dry microfiber cloth to wipe away any residue.
If necessary, you can repeat this process again.
Tip: Only apply the product to cool areas. Do not use when your car is hot from driving.
The Results
So, is it worth it? The results will differ depending on the depth of the scratches and area affected. In most cases, you will see an improvement. And, from as little as £7.99 for the scratch remover paste, the product is certainly cost-effective. But, it is not a complete fix. No DIY product can give you the same finish as a professional repair.
