ChipsAway Annual Conference 2016
The ChipsAway annual conference took place at Birmingham Resorts World this year, where ChipsAway specialists from all over the UK congregated to celebrate ChipsAway’s most successful year to date!
CEO of ChipsAway and ChipsAway’s parent company Franchise Brands, Tim Harris, kicked off the day’s presentations, focusing on the Franchisor’s key areas for growth and development going forward – Franchise Brands floated on LSE earlier on this year, so there are certainly many exciting things ahead for the leading brand! The rest of the day’s presentations were centred around Marketing and led by Robin Auld, Marketing Director for ChipsAway and Franchise Brands, and Lisa Doherty, Communications Planning Director from Universal McCann, one of the world’s largest PR networks. Both Robin and Lisa shared the results from ChipsAway’s record-breaking TV and Marketing campaigns and talked through some hugely exciting plans for the year ahead. Following the speeches, delegates were then given the opportunity to speak to industry suppliers and the departments at Head Office.
The Awards Dinner commenced later on in the evening, where Andrew Cornell was awarded the coveted title of Franchisee of the Year 2016. Andrew has been a ChipsAway franchisee since 2011, and over the last 5 years has grown into one of the most successful franchisees in the network, running a van and a car care centre in Guildford, and managing a team of highly trained employees.
Chief Executive of ChipsAway, Tim Harris, believes that Andrew Cornell is a worthy winner, as he embodies the key values of the brand by delivering exceptional quality repairs, outstanding customer service and offering incredible support to the rest of the network.
“Andy is a credit to the ChipsAway brand, which is why he was not only named ChipsAway franchisee of the year but also won Business Mentor of the year for the third year in a row!” says Tim. “He is extremely hard working and focused on delivering meticulous car body repairs, which is why his business has flourished over the last 5 years into an extremely successful operation. As well as operating a fantastic business, Andy also does an incredible job of supporting the business development of his fellow franchise owners and helping them to succeed. This is why Andy is such a worthy winner of the Franchisee of the Year 2016 and is held in such high esteem by Head Office, his employees and his customers.”
Other awards handed out on the night were Newcomer of the Year, Marketer of the Year and Customer Service Award of the Year. Newcomer of the Year award was claimed by Mark Burns who joined the franchise at the end of February 2016. Since joining the network, Mark has worked exceptionally hard to grow his business into a Car Care Centre and secure a loyal base of customers. Roger Catchpole was then awarded the Customer Service Award of the year, as a result of receiving excellent feedback from all his customers, and Ryan Lythe was named Marketer of the year – Ryan channels a lot of money and effort into his marketing each month, and his Car Care centre is very successful as a result.
To conclude the evening, the raffle raised a brilliant £2,000 for Franchise Brand’s charity of the year, Help for Heroes, and the guests danced the night away!
